Default Trapping Question

ok i've been using this new build for trapping and i find it ok i can solo mountain trolls in hm easier ( dont comment on mountain trolls plz )

in NM i can nearly kill both the mountain trolls bosses in the cave but my actual question is which is better for more DPS

Dust Trap + Barbed Trap ?
Dust Trap + Flame Trap ?

Flame Trap offers more degen (i think) so i'd go with that.

But barbed trap cripples them so they are less likely to move out of dust trap. It also provides some longer lasting bleeding.

ok i just came back from a run with some mountain trolls and i tell you 1 thing it didnt go completely as planned i was able to kill 1 troll boss but....i had to lay 2 traps while i was in Whirling Defense so that i could finish him off anyway the other boss i ran him to the entrance of the cave and he wouldnt attack me ( glitch ) i was able to trap right next to him but as i was nearly going to kill him he runs back like a few steps so the last few traps wouldn't hit him what so ever i tried getting him to follow me but he wouldnt lol anyway thx for the help i think im gonna stick with flame trap for a HM run and see if they run from my traps

flame trap hits 3 times, barbed once. flame > barbed, when it comes to farming.

Was it the Ranger boss? He only runs so far away from his spirit, then retreats.

No it was the other 1 the golden troll boss anyway i used the build i was speaking of ummm

[skill]Echo[/skill][skill]Arcane Echo[/skill][skill]Dust Trap[/skill][skill]Flame Trap[/skill]
[skill]Ether Signet[/skill][skill]Serpent's Quickness[/skill][skill]Troll Unguent[/skill][skill]Whirling Defense[/skill]

To solo UW and with Flame Trap it actually works better than with barb trap
i was able to farm 1 ecto and then i figured farming Mountain trolls is easier and less nerve racking ? lol

Anyway thanks for the tips
